    external communications officer at Randstad Global your typical day includes

The external communications officer will help create the foundation that our external reputation and thought leadership program is built on, leading to more people being helped to reach their true potential. 

    You are a natural collaborator within the communications team and with our internal stakeholders and are always looking to increase the impact of our external communications. You will report into the global media relations lead, with a strong line into the global content thought leadership manager, and will work with the partnership of a number of external agencies. This is a great opportunity to build your communications capabilities in an exciting integrated corporate affairs team. 

    your responsibilities

    • Overall support for the execution of external communications strategies, campaigns, operations, and processes that support the business objectives of Randstad. 

      • Including, but not limited to, content research and development, media monitoring, managing internal tools and processes like the content calendar and content library, distributing press releases, managing the press mailbox, and supporting website updates.

    • Help coordinate all teams, including public relations, content design, public affairs, employee communication and social media communications, have been briefed on deliverables and timelines. Ensuring that we are working in a one-Randstad and process-oriented fashion, and continually improving. 

    • Support the creation of content that supports the communications team such as messaging frameworks, presentations, speaking notes, social media posts and website copy.

    • Coordinate the delivery of our quarterly integrated corporate affairs evaluation report to showcase our activities and measure impact.  

    • Be part of the crisis communications response team, acting as a crisis response coordinator and supporting the team on content and operational needs. 

    • Help ensure that guidelines for the proper use of brand and language are respected in all external communication through proofreading and editing.  

    • Co-orchestrate the Randstad’s global corporate affairs community to facilitate the sharing of expertise across operating companies to foster learning and collaboration. 

    • Keep current in ever-changing best practices in recruitment trends, marketing communications and social media, apply proactive recommendations to day to day work.

    your experience

    • 3-5 years of B2B and/or B2C communications experience - in agency or at a multinational organization. 

    • Demonstrable experience working with media, creating integrated content and driving strong communication processes. 

    • Proven project management experience and strong interest in continuous improvement. 

    • Comfortable using technology and digital tools with appetite to learn more e.g. Google Analytics, monitoring tools, social media etc. 

    • Fluent spoken and written English.
