Global Strategic Program Management - IT Portfolio ManagerAbout the Role:An influential leadership opportunity exists within a dynamic and globally recognized organization to manage the Global Program Management Office (PMO) for a significant strategic initiative focused on a global system architecture standardization project. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in driving the successful execution of this program's diverse projects. This position demands a strategic and forward-thinking individual with exceptional leadership capabilities to ensure all projects adhere to the established governance framework for the global system architecture standardization project and contribute directly to the overarching objectives of the organization.Key Responsibilities:•Provide comprehensive oversight and coordination of project performance and progress, ensuring strict alignment with the established governance methodology for the global system architecture standardization project while proactively identifying and implementing areas for continuous improvement.•Take a proactive approach to identify potential project risks and provide robust support for issue resolution, effectively minimizing any adverse impact on project timelines and critical deliverables.•Serve as a central point of contact and build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, facilitating clear and effective communication and fostering seamless collaboration across teams.•Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the optimal allocation and efficient utilization of resources, directly contributing to the successful delivery of project outcomes.Basic Qualifications:•A Bachelor’s degree or higher in information technology, a closely related discipline, or demonstrable equivalent professional experience.•High-level proficiency in both written and spoken English and Japanese is essential for effective communication in a global environment.•A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience managing IT projects, encompassing end-to-end solution delivery and operational oversight across all phases of project and IT lifecycles.•Possession of PMP certification or demonstrable equivalent project management knowledge and practical skills.•Familiarity with ITIL Foundation principles and practical experience in their application.•Demonstrated strong leadership skills, with a proven ability to effectively influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong emphasis on fostering collaboration and building productive working relationships.A proactive and adaptable mindset, demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for embracing new challenges and a strong curiosity for continuous learning and exploration.Preferred Qualifications:•A Master's degree in Information Technology or Business Administration would be advantageous.•Broad professional knowledge across a diverse range of information technology domains.•Prior experience in contract negotiation with international IT partners.Strong facilitation skills coupled with excellent communication abilities when interacting with senior leadership.•Practical experience working within a well-defined service management environment based on ITIL best practices.•Experience in the global deployment and implementation of COBIT and/or TOGAF frameworks.•Professional experience gained within both Japanese and non-Japanese corporate environments, or consulting experience with multinational organizations.•Solid understanding of IT security principles and IT risk management practices.Proficiency in utilizing various project management tools and methodologies, including robust risk management and budget oversight capabilities.To Apply:Interested and qualified candidates are invited to submit their resume and a cover letter detailing their relevant experience and qualifications.
