A. Portfolio Build-up
? To ensure quality and efficiency in preparation of legal documentation necessary to implement all CC or RDC loan decisions; prepare the documents with the local lawyers and project officers;
? To review loan and collateral documentation as to its compliance with the law of India and its enforceability in the local courts; ensure that the loan and collateral documentation is properly registered with local authorities;
? To provide legal support to the project officers during their due diligences or preparation of proposals, participate in the RDC CC discussions and coordinate the process of loan disbursement.
? Legal clearance to Finance for disbursements.
B. Portfolio Management
? To provide on-going legal support to the Regional Director/Regional Deputy Director and project officers in their regular monitoring of loan contracts and, securities update and on-site reviews, as well as in loan work outs or revisions
? To keep up-to-date standard templates of legal documents, forms, standard procedures and policies for the RO in coordination with the RO management and OI Legal affairs or other departments, and provide training to the regional staff on these areas.
C. Development Co-operation and networking
? To review the quality of external lawyers� work in the countries as assigned by the RDC management
? To facilitate hiring of local law firms or lawyers as may be necessary

? To provide legal support to capacity building program and prepare contracts with external parties
D. Corporate housekeeping
? To analyse the regulatory and legal environment in India and Sri Lanka and prepare reports by
the pre-agreed deadlines
? To monitor changes in the regulatory and legal environment of India and Sri Lanka and report
immediately to the RO and general counsel
? To review the registration and ensure local compliance of OUR CLIENT and prepare an overview
of all regulations with which OUR CLIENT as an NBFI has to be compliant with (�dashboard�);
? To review , standardize and renew service contracts and other administrative contracts
? To maintain a tracking system for monitoring and reporting on local registration, contracts
validity dates, renewal of lists of pledge loans or other terms in coordination with OI Legal affairs
E. Other
To provide support in any other area as per the regional director�s or general counsel�s instructions.
Including coordinating with External Legal counsel and representing OUR CLIENT in the court cases /

?Education and experience (min.)
? Master�s degree in the field of commercial law of India
? Relevant work experience, minimum 5 years, preferably in a Non-banking financial institution, a
bank or other financial institution and development finance fields.
? Knowledge of laws and regulations applicable to NBFIs in India;
? Excellent English and language skills,
