    A large-scale not-for-profit organisation in London is urgently seeking a new IT Security Engineer to join their team. It is a great time to be joining the business as they invest heavily in new IT systems and infrastructure. They are looking for someone to join their team and provide security patching across the server and network infrastructure.

    They are looking for an IT Security Engineer to join one of their two offices in Stratford, East London or Sidcup and work on a hybrid model of 1-2 days in the office.

    You will be rewarded with an excellent package that includes:

    • Salary of £50,000 - £55,000
    • 12% pension scheme

    Responsibilities

    • Proactive and reactive server and network hardening
    • Enforcement of compliance, policy and best practice
    • Review and remediate IPS/IDS policies and rules
    • Planning, implementing, managing, monitoring and upgrading security measures for the protection of the organisations data, systems and networks.
    • Implement treatment plans as recommended through Infosec risks con critical infrastructure Assist with identifying security risks highlighted through on-going work
    • First point of contact and responsibility for security breaches, incidents and security request from Information Security
    • Ensuring that the organisation's infrastructure is protected by enabling the appropriate security controls as guided by security, risk and compliance
    • Participation in the change management process
    • Testing and identifying network and system vulnerabilities
    • Deliver the security of corporate cloud and on-premise infrastructure through improvement projects and initiatives to leverage best-fit, economic solutions, harnessing consumer, business solutions and moving away from traditional enterprise scale models
    • Work with the Service Delivery team to provide escalation support for security incidents and problems
    • Manage third parties delivering security, cloud or infrastructure services to L&Q - ensuring SLAs are realised, with regular performance reviews etc.

    Experience

    • Strong experience using Microsoft (Azure, Office365, Windows Server, Exchange, Active Directory)
    • Strong experience with VMWare, Citrix, Cisco routers, switches and firewalls, F5 and Solar Winds
    • Working knowledge of ISO27001 & PCI DSS and experience of improving IT systems to adhere to security guidelines, acting both proactively and reactively
    • Understanding of CIS controls e.g. Hardening
