On behalf of our client, a global provider of custom-engineered machinery, we are looking for a: LOGISTIC & TRANSPORTATION MANAGER POSITION SUMMARY:The Logistic & Transportation Manager will report directly to the Supply Chain Director and he is responsible to plan and coordinate the daily product shipments, with the support of a logistic team. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Plan and supervise the shipments from Suppliers/Warehouse to the end-user;Coordinate with logistic team and warehouse contractors;Support sales department in transportation cost evaluation;Coordinate with Warehouse Contractors to ensure proper storage and distribution of products;Schedule daily and weekly routes;Schedule and track inbound and outgoing shipments;Monitor and report on transportation costs;Ensure shipping documents are properly filed;Research and suggest cost-effective shipping methods;Negotiate rate with carriers;Ensure compliance with company policies and shipping legislation;Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements;Handling customs clearance processes;Comply with laws, safety regulations and ISO requirements.   REQUIREMENTS:Master’s Degree in Engineering, Logistic or Business Administration;5+years working experience as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager or similar role;English mandatory, other languages skill will be preferential;Solid knowledge of supply chain management;Experience preparing and tracking orders;Strong experience with ERP software (SAP). SOFT SKILLS REQUIRED:Excellent organizational skills;Ability to manage, supervise and train staff;Problem solving abilities;Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects. Salary Package: the salary will be commensurate with the seniority of the candidateLOCATION: near Novara
