Work-life balance and great work environment!AdvantagesThe ideal candidate will be able to operate analytical instruments, such as HPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS for the analysis of raw material, in-process and finished product samplesIf you have sound judgment mixed with the ability to work as part of an ever-growing team, we want to hear from you!Responsibilities•Operate analytical instruments, such as HPLC, GC-FID, GC-MS, LC-MS for the analysis of raw material, in-process and finished product samples. •Perform regular preventative maintenance, verifications and calibrations on lab instruments and equipment. Daily, weekly and monthly balance, bottle top dispensers and pipette verifications to ensure accuracy and repeatability. •Prepare calibration curve standards for system re-calibrations as required. Fill out all associated calibration documentation and update respective system software.•Prepare reagents required for analytical testing and monitor expiry dates for each solution. •Receive and log chemicals to track inventory and usage. •Weigh, prepare and perform sample extractions according to applicable SOPs and test methods.•Reviews LIMS summary reports to plan and organize daily work, daily prioritization of lab samples by due date and/or supply chain requirements. •Perform various assays including purity, integration, calculations and data entry of results into the Laboratory Information Management System or applicable database. •Assist the Validation and Equipment Specialist with method validation procedures for applicable test methods, including sample preparation, integration and data analysis. •Assist with periodic review and writing of SOP’s and test method work instructions. •Flag any anomalies to the Laboratory Supervisor. Identify and communicate procedural non-conformances to Laboratory Supervisor. •Troubleshoot and resolve any instrumentation problems, working with the Validation and Equipment Lead and external Service Technicians when required.•Prepare certificate of analysis for each sample submission and submit to Laboratory Supervisor for review. •Meets quality and TAT specifications required by Supply Chain and ensure samples are analyzed within holding time requirements. •Employs proper laboratory techniques to minimize risk of mislabeling sample mix‐up and cross contamination between samples and other materials.•Keep track of consumables inventory and request supplies for ordering, as required.•Participate in the completion of OOS investigations relating to analytical testing.•Participates, when requested, in internal and external audits. •Participate in proficiency testing programs as required. •Maintain good laboratory housekeeping at all times. Keeps work area clean, neat and organized.•Maintain an orderly laboratory environment in compliance with safety regulations and internal SOPs such as wearing appropriate PPE and disposing of chemical waste accordingly. •Cross-training between Laboratory teams, act as back up technician for Inorganics or Microbiology teams as required. •Other laboratory duties as assigned. Qualifications•College or University degree in chemistry, biotechnology, biochemistry or other related scientific discipline.•3-5 years’ experience in an analytical laboratory environment. •Experience operating and trouble-shooting analytical instruments including HPLC, GC-FID, LC-MS, GC-MS. •Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.•Excellent attention to detail, organization and time management skills.
