An outstanding centre for Autism, based in Cranleigh, Surrey, is looking for positive and resilient individuals who have experience in the SEN/EBD field, to join their team! The school supports adult learners with an autism spectrum disorder and uses person-centred, individually based learning plans based around their needs, using appropriate and relevant topics from a comprehensive central curriculum.
This role is available now on a temporary basis, or as a permanent position!
This school offers a range of benefits:

Your role would include:
-Ensuring adult learners' individual needs are met through personal support and planning
-Assist adult learners in decision making and promote individual empowerment
-Support adult learners' in social, educational and employment opportunities in the community
-Working as part of a team, providing behaviour analysis based support to adult learners
-Collect and analyse data on the learning programmes
-Encourage and assist adult learners to maintain acceptable levels of personal and environmental hygiene
-Developing knowledge of autism spectrum disorders and disabilities
Key Skills required:
-Experience of working in community based services or with young adults with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
-Comfortable working with challenging behaviour
-Ability to work as a team and build relationships with learners, parents and staff
-A positive and resilient attitude
-Minimum Grade C or equivalent, in English Language & Maths is desirable
-Care certificate is desirable
-Own means of transport, due to location
