    We are working with and supporting a specialist Prison Education provider working across England and Wales, who are looking for a learning support Practitioner.

    This Learning Support Practitioner role is offered on a Permanent basis, working 37 hours per week.

    In this role you will be required to;

    Have experience in the use and administration of virtual learning environments.

    Have experience in data input & research.

    Help raise expectations and aspirations of our learners, to enthuse, motivate and create opportunities for learning and engagement.

    Support learner progression through, for example; identification of educational need/ course referral/ pre, on & post course support/ development of support plans.

    Work with learners to support and develop personalised learning plans.

    Continually develop your practice and skills, to engage in new initiatives and, to share best practice with colleagues.

    Utilise policies and procedures to support the wider prison resettlement and skills strategy.

    Work collaboratively as part of a local specialist education team and positively contribute as part of the wider prison team.

    Ideally you will have healthcare background, working exclusively with learners with SEN, teaching and support, and/or have a LSP working alongside.

    You need to be autonomous after several weeks. 1-2-1 offering additional support and taking learners to one side, some scope to go into the classroom, needs to be one-to-one than group.
