Are you a skilled Facilities Maintenance Electrician seeking a rewarding opportunity in Taunton? We are currently recruiting for a leading healthcare site in Taunton, offering a competitive salary of £42,000 per annum, along with excellent benefits including 5 weeks of holiday.
Role Overview: As a Facilities Maintenance Electrician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the electrical systems and equipment across our healthcare site in Taunton are operating efficiently and safely. This role involves planned and reactive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting electrical issues, and supporting the maintenance team in delivering high standards of service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting electrical maintenance, repairs, and installations as required.
- Performing routine inspections and testing of electrical systems and equipment.
- Responding promptly to electrical faults and emergencies.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations and site policies.
- Collaborating with the wider facilities management team to ensure operational effectiveness.
Shift Pattern: You will follow a rotating shift pattern consisting of 4 days on, 3 days off, followed by 3 days on, and then 4 days off. All shifts are from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. This equates to working 7 days out of a 14-day cycle, allowing for a good work-life balance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified Electrician with relevant electrical certifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds 2365, 18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
- Proven experience in electrical maintenance, ideally within a healthcare or similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
