A leading global communication and IT provider with operation offices in Asia Pacific, Europe, Middle East & Africa, North America, South America, Australia and the Pacific Islands.

About the Role

  • Oversee the APAC region’s production and maintenance of each entity’s full set of accounts in a timely, complete and accurate manner. This includes reviewing all inputs from supporting processes like AP, AR and HR/Payroll vendors.
  • Ensure the accounting systems, processes and procedures for the APAC region are working effectively.
  • Review work of external service providers, for example payroll vendors, tax agents and auditors.
  • Maintain complete and accurate record of fixed assets and inventory.
  • Ensure all provisions, prepayments, accruals and other balance sheet items are accurately calculated, reconciled and recorded on a monthly basis. This includes regular review of balance sheet items.
  • Comply with Group and Regional reporting deadlines.
  • Oversee the APAC region’s statutory compliance in respect of areas such as GST, direct & indirect tax returns, accounts filings, AGM’s etc.
  • Perform monthly financial analysis for reporting packs, this includes ad hoc financial analysis as requested.
  • Prepare annual accounts for the legal entity.
  • Responsible for compliance with Group and company internal controls, policies and procedures.
  • Compliance with all applicable accounting standards

The Requirements

  • Degree in accountancy or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of similar experience.
  • Must have experience managing financial affairs of a group of companies.
  • Must have experience managing a team of Accountants/Finance Managers.
  • Experience with Shared Service Centers is an advantage.
  • Experience with ERP system is essential (Microsoft NAV preferred).
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
  • Able to perform financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting

  • A person who is independent, hands-on, with good organizing and problem solving skills.
  • Technically sound in Accounting and Accounting systems/processes.
  • Strong Analytical ability.
  • Good leadership qualities, result oriented and with can-do attitude.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
