Project Director – New High Rise project in PJ

As a Project Director Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to

  1. To review regularly all aspects of construction activities, undertaken from identification of tender, implementation and completion of projects including final account.
  2. To implement all policies, activities, procedure, instruction as relevant and required by the quality system.
  3. To liaise with clients and consultants of projects undertaken by company.
  4. Assess and set performance targets for activities under preview of the Project Operations Supervisory board.
  5. Discuss and recommend for implementation, changes of policies deemed necessary to strengthen company’s position.
  6. To appoint and select manager, project [MP] based on background, workload, experience and project requirements for every new project. Conduct internal kick off meeting for every new project.
  7. To ensure project’s resources are managed and within allocated budget.
  8. To review contract documents against tender document and identify changes in the condition of contract
  9. To monitor sub-contractors’ performance and evaluate progress of works and claims.
  10. To assist in project studies and development of project budgets
  11. To conduct contract negotiations.
  12. To identify new methodology and techniques of constructions and recommend steps to prevent of minimize problems and hazards of sites.
  13. Is authorized to verify and approve the project programme, resources schedule and approve award of sub-coordinators.
  14. Making strategic decisions and providing the necessary leadership & direction for the team of projects manager to implement those decisions.

skills & experience required

  • Has at least 20 years of related experience;
  • Must possess good and strong leader ship skills
  • Has a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering Construction Management.
  • Interpersonal skill and knowledge of AutoCAD Software
  • Has a strong understanding of building concepts, codes, regulations, laws and best practices;
  • Is proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Outlook, Word and Excel;
  • Is familiar with project scheduling software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
