    We are looking for candidates to work in the production department of a busy manufacturing plant in southeast Calgary. We are looking for candidates who are ‘handy’ with great manual dexterity; and who are comfortable lifting up to 50lbs and organized.

    The pay is very competitive at $21.76 per hour, afternoon shifts are available. The afternoon shift starts at 2:30 pm until 10:40 pm and has great potential for overtime pay. The schedule is Monday to Friday, although there is occasional mandatory Saturday overtime also. The role is temporary to start with, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.

    Advantages
    • Very competitive pay of $21.76 an hour, paid weekly
    • Monday to Friday shift pattern, with occasional extra hours on Saturdays, when required
    • Afternoon shifts, must be open for the day shift (if needed)
    • Optional benefits are available through Randstad from your first payday
    • Transit accessible location in southeast Calgary

    Responsibilities
    • Reading a production plan including tickets and labels
    • Assembling mattresses and foundations
    • Using a glue gun and fastening tools
    • Lifting up to 50 lbs
    • Working with your team mates to ensure job is done in a timely manner

    Qualifications
    • At least 6-12 months experience in an industrial setting. It will be an asset if you have worked in a manufacturing plant, but other industrial settings such as a warehouse or construction setting will also be considered.
    • Able to stand and walk for an 8 hour shift
    • Able to lift 50lbs
    • Able to follow instructions
    • Able to communicate well with colleagues
    • A positive attitude, ready to work in a team as well as independently
    • Must be open to flexible shift - day and afternoon shift
