job description

Randstad Education are specialists in placing Early Childhood Education (ECE) teachers in Early Childhood centres throughout Auckland.

If you have experience and a passion for growing young children like us, we are looking for people to join our team on a casual and part time basis. This is the perfect opportunity to continue to develop your teaching practice and experience different environments while not having the responsibilities of paperwork and meetings!

Your main responsibilities will be to interact with and observe the children, follow all health and safety requirements to ensure the safety of the children and support the staff at the centres to a high level. You will be required to travel around Auckland and to the outer suburbs - however we will always try to keep you as close to home as possible.

What we are looking for:

  • Experience with childcare
  • Enthusiastic and adaptable people
  • People open to new experiences and philosophies
  • People who are able to pass New Zealand Police Children’s Worker Safety Check
  • Current New Zealand Work Rights

What we can offer you:

  • The best pay rates in the ECE market
  • Flexibility if you are studying, have care responsibilities or recently retired and looking for occasional work
  • Short-term, long-term and day-to-day ECE teaching opportunities
  • Networking opportunities to connect to other teachers and ongoing teacher support
  • The latest tech to help you manage your availability and shifts
  • Professional development opportunities to further your teaching knowledge

We work with a variety of centres including Maori/Samoan Immersion, Montessori, RIE, child led play, community-based, crèches as well as national childcare centres. We provide short and long-term assignments for childcare relievers. If you have a love for children and want job flexibility and variety in your working life - we'd like to hear from you!

To apply, please send your resume to register.education@randstad.co.nz or call us on 0800 800 204(Option 1)!

Our commitment to safeguarding children and young people.

Randstad Education is committed to the safety and well being of all children and young people. We take steps to achieve this through our candidate application process. All applicants are required to complete a NZ Police Request & Consent form and a Police Check will be conducted. In some circumstances, an International Police Clearance is also required. Your consultant will be able to advise if this is applicable to you. Lastly, references are conducted in relation to the applicant's interactions with children using an online platform that has an inbuilt fraud alert. Employment is subject to clearance of all these checks to ensure the safeguarding of children and young people and in accordance with The Vulnerable Children Act.
