Job purpose

  • Oversee the effective finance function for the New Zealand team. 94 staff in New Zealand
  • Provides financial expertise for the finance department and business teams.
  • Overall responsibility to maintain and improve the control environment for the business;
  • Controllership reporting and statutory compliance responsibilities including the timely and accurate reporting of results to management. Ensure statutory reporting obligations are met and assist with auditor’s request as and when required.

Professional experience

  • Minimum 10 years of accounting/finance experience
  • Tertiary qualified business related degree
  • Membership of Professional Accounting (CA/CPA equivalent) and/or Financial institutions

Professional Competencies

  • Technically competent in Finance and Accounting
  • Commerical experience in SME and corporate environments
  • Experience using ERP applications (Netsuite advantageous).
  • Advanced Excel skills and business intelligence tools
  • Abliity to motivate, supervise and engage staff/volunteers
  • Diligent, accurate and pro-active in dealing with complex issues.
