If this sounds like you and you want to be part of this newly launched warehouse, then keep reading!Job details:Job title: Material Handler/Order Picker (see description below)Shift: Monday to Friday 6:00am - 2:30pmEmployment type: Temporary to Permanent, Full timeSalary: $18.00/hourAdvantages• Brand new facility and equipment• Competitive pay + shift premiums• Weekly pay of base pay, premiums (if applicable) & 4% vacation pay• Organized and clean work environment• Career opportunities including permanent positions with the client• Accessible by public transit• Once transitioned to permanent employee, eligible for pay raises every 6 months for the first 2 years!Responsibilities• Loads and unloads product to and from delivery vehicles and designated storage areas• Reads production schedule, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed• Conveys materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas• Sorts and places materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence, such as: size, type, style, color, or product code• Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to production workers or assembly line• Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping department• Marks materials with identifying information• Opens bales, crates, and other containers• Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed• Weighs or counts items for distribution to ensure conformance to company standards• Arranges stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers• Enters and maintains inventory records in the computer• Prepares parcels for mailing• Tidy/clean up warehouse areaQualifications• Minimum 3 months recent warehouse experience is required• Experience order picking and packing shipments• Comfortable lifting up to 25 lbs.• Great attitude and reliability• Previous experience using RF scanner is an assetSummaryIf being a part of this amazing company sounds like an opportunity you're interested in, then we want to hear from you.Want to apply?Apply directly via this posting and someone from our team will reach out to you to complete a preliminary phone interview..
