    We are currently looking for individuals to join our client, one of Canada's largest insurance and financial services companies, as a Proposal Services Specialist.
    This role is open to candidates from Toronto, Waterloo, Oakville, and Montreal. Either of those offices is fine or a combination is okay too (i.e. one day in Waterloo, two days in Toronto or Oakville)


    Advantages

    Responsibilities
    As a Proposal Services Specialist, your duties will include but not limited to:
    •Leading and acting as project manager in the development of client-centric RFP responses from receipt to submission
    •Using RFP database (Loopio) to complete proposal by applying the correct responses and sourcing questions out to Subject Matter Experts
    •Customizing responses to respond to client needs and requirements
    •Leading multiple proposals and priorities simultaneously and completes them on time and within 100% compliance
    •Maintaining Spearheads strategy/kick-off meetings with key partners to determine strategy and action plan
    •Working with Sales and other Subject Matter Experts to ensure a clear focus on the customer and finds opportunities
    •Collaborating with RFP team to determine new and adopt best practices as well as learning and development opportunities
    •Liaising with key subject matter authorities to develop high-quality responses and help evolve our database of standard proposal content
    •Ensuring quality, accuracy, completeness, compliance, and timely delivery of proposals
    •Providing proactive, strategic insight on the content for sales proposals and relevant collateral
    •Monitoring the overall presale process and quality of output
    •Driving efficiencies for continuous improvement in the proposal process
    •performing other duties, as assigned


    Qualifications
    •University or college education and 5+ years of industry experience/other related education
    •5+ years of complex proposal writing experience
    •Previous experience in business development, proposal, and/or technical writing
    •PC proficient, particularly in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
    •Strong project management and writing skills
    •Strong ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
    •Excellent communicator who is proactive and innovative
    •Proven ability to execute large/complex, concurrent projects within tight timeframes
    •Strong analytical, problem solving, strategic skills
    •Strong communication, influence, and conflict resolution skills
    •Strong client and relationship management skills
    •Strong ability to work in an environment of rapid change
    •Hugely important: attention to detail

    Nice to have:
    •Marketing and/or corporate communications experience a plus
    •Insurance/financial services/group benefits industry experience is huge plus but not required
    •APMP certification is preferred.
