Working alongside the Network Coordinator the district advocacy officer will be responsible for supporting the identification of networking opportunities for building and supporting coalitions leading to advocacy for promoting youth entrepreneurship and employability.

Allowance and accommodation All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses , Currently the VLA is PKR 35000, VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.


Essential Masters in social sciences or law/ any related discipline related to advocacy & lobbying. Maximum age limit 35 years Youth Work 2-3 year experience working in civil rights and political rights. Experience of working with advocacy led organization. Sound knowledge of and providing support to 25-35 year olds from a wide range of backgrounds with proven ability to facilitate learning in a non-formal environment Cross-Cultural Working Direct and substantial experience of working cross-culturally and able to communicate to a range of audiences and promote sharing and learning between cultures Knowledge of community issues Knowledge of issues which are common to communities in Pakistan , Experience of promoting learning about social issues Communication Possession of strong verbal communication to work effectively and inclusively with an overseas colleague. Strong written communication skills needed for writing reports. Significant experience of working with government, privates sectors, networks and forums in development context Supervision Experience of working in a supervisory Role. Proven ability to promote self-awareness, learning and development among individuals. IT skills: Strong computer skills with expertise in MS Office Desirable Volunteering Sufficient experience of working in advocacy, lobbying and linkages
