Responsibilities
•Support the configuration, maintenance, and enhancement of payroll systems to align with company and compliance requirements.
•Assist in processing end-to-end payroll for salaried and hourly employees across multiple provinces, ensuring adherence to regional regulations and company policies.
•Generate and review payroll reports to verify accuracy, compliance, and consistency with internal standards.
•Collaborate with internal teams to identify opportunities for system improvements and escalate issues to the global data team for resolution.
•Participate in system testing by preparing test scripts, documenting outcomes, and suggesting enhancements.
•Conduct periodic audits to assess payroll processes, reporting accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
•Develop and maintain documentation, including system guidelines and process manuals, to ensure clear understanding and proper usage.
•Provide training to internal teams on payroll system functionalities, updates, and best practices.
•Act as a key resource for troubleshooting reporting issues and optimizing workflows to improve efficiency and minimize errors.
•Assist with month-end and year-end payroll processes, including reconciliations, government remittances, and the issuance of tax forms .
Qualifications
•Minimum of 5 years of experience managing payroll operations across multiple provinces, including involvement in payroll system implementation and testing.
•In-depth knowledge of payroll processes, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
•Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify improvements and optimize payroll systems and workflows.
•Ability to interpret business needs and translate them into system capabilities and technical solutions.
•Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and key stakeholders.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel, for payroll data management and reporting.
•Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and UKG Pro WFM is beneficial.
•A PCP or PLP certification is preferred.
