specifications Job description• Develop specifications, design basis, philosophies, designs related to piping engineering discipline for the
application. Perform design to match specifications
• Support for cost estimating. Provide necessary inputs for other disciplines to perform design engineering
and drafting.
• Support for developing MDL for the product identified.
• Review / comment on P&IDs and perform P&ID walk-downs on fabricated equipment. Perform model
review (30%/60%/90%).
• Perform initial design and final design solutions on a project, conceptualize plans, details and sections to
accurately convey construction or fabrication requirements.
• Prepares and develops 2D and/ or 3D CAD designs.
• Responsible for checking and back checking computer models and piping drawings
• Ensure compliance with approved design standards, to provide quality design.
• Coordinate vendor supplied drawings or information into project drawings.
• Extract computer piping drawings and isometrics.
• Prepare Bill of Material. Recommend manual valves best suited for application.
• Provide preliminary valve weights, Communicate and interface with other engineering disciplines.
• Attend CAD model reviews as required.
• Shall get the Pipe stress analysis done from competent engineer and update the model
• Assist in developing Cameron Standards for Cameron products.
• Maintaining project documentation.
• Teaming up with process engineers. Prepare valve list as per P&ID
• Perform with civil or structural along with stress departments to assure suitable flexibility and assist
piping systems.
• Ensure performance of staff members complies with established project standards.
• Review project parameters related to piping requirements.
• Participate in meetings plus provide project status.
• Aid sales and contracts for proposals.
• Prepare and manage schedule for piping design projects.
• Actively support, participate in, and maintain the integrity and on-going function of the company and
facility HSSE program; ensuring a safe/healthy work environment.
• When delegated, must be able to assume a lead technical role over other engineers or project
subgroups for completing specific tasks.
• As applicable, must be able to perform or assist in the performance of problem root cause analysis and
lessons learned.
• As required, must be able to assists in on-the-job-training and mentoring of assigned personnel.
• Approve and follow engineering schedule, coordinate design work as applicable, forecast man-hour
estimates and utilize MOC process.
