    This role is working with one of our Key Clients within North East London. The client is looking for somebody who has experience working in a Development Management team preferably within a Local Authority!

    Working on all sized applications portraying expert knowledge on how to process these.

    The client would like a self starter, highly motivated, and all round hard worker to join their team.

    Planning Officer (Development Management)

    • Reporting to Development Management Manager/Lead Principal Planner
    • Immediate start * Immediate availability preferred
    • Up to £30 per hour (within IR35)
    • 3 - 6 months, potential for extension.
    • Hybrid working options available Job description
    • Please do not apply if no town planning experience.
    • Public sector Development Management experience preferred, however suitable private sector experience will be considered.
    • Managing a caseload of planning applications, mainly comprising householder and other minor planning applications, and determining within statutory timeframe and/or local time targets.
    • Being courteous to all customers at all times, ensuring all public consultation procedures have been followed.
    • Preparing well written advice in the form of letters and reports and making recommendations on the merits of the planning proposal.
