Procurement Manager IT at Randstad Global department
IT Procurement is at the core of Randstad’s Global Digital Strategy. The procurement & contract management team forms an integral part of the Finance department of Randstad Global. Within Randstad Global Procurement, we support the Randstad Digital Factory as being our global IT department. The Global IT Procurement team consists of 8 FTE’s and is a multidisciplinary and multi cultural team of category managers, procurement managers, contract- and license managers, delivering added value to our stakeholders by proactively driving cross functional category strategy approach. We operate as a business partner and trusted advisor for the Digital Factory. We also act as a procurement competence center to drive continuous improvement and deliver total value of ownership (TVO) to Digital Factory global and Randstad’s operating companies. As Procurement Manager IT you report to the Manager Procurement IT.
your typical day includes
As a Global Procurement Manager IT Procurement you act as a strong leader to assure the realization of tactical and operational goals for the management of Digital Factory Procurement activities and manages and executes the related strategies. Manages all contractual aspects of the suppliers in the scope of the Digital Factory, in order to maximize compliance and optimize/reduce total cost. The supplier contracts can be direct with the Digital Factory or indirect through the Operating Companies. We support a hybrid way of working, working from home and occasionally we meet each other at the office for coffee and meetings.
The Global Procurement Manager - IT Procurement typically manages IT Hardware, Software and IT Services and/or Telecom categories of approximately 50 Mio spend per year. Maximizing the leverage for Randstad, so the organization can benefit from economies of scale in IT spend management, whilst ensuring quality. Continuously optimize the supply base (quality and number) and work towards total cost of ownership; develop supplier partnership at global, regional and sometimes local level.
Key responsibilities
...
Professionalize procurement processes and the management (incl. administration) of IT contracts;
Conduct global negotiations and lead tenders (RFX);
Set up and maintain an up-to-date register of contracts and clauses;
Monitor Purchase Orders (incl execution) and invoice compliance through approval process in Operating Companies and Digital Factory;
Manage contract lifecycle, expiration dates and notice periods as expressed in assets, licenses and services;
Manage contract thresholds (price changes, volume levels etc.) as expressed in assets, licenses and services;
Regularly (weekly) reports to management about status and progress reports on contracts (incl. renewals, extensions, terminations, forecasts etc.), tenders and escalations;
Facilitates / supports the Digital Factory negotiations with strategic/preferred suppliers, safeguarding:
Leverages the contacts to create synergy and economies of scale for Randstad;
Defines, develops and takes ownership of relevant (umbrella) agreements;
Ownership of (umbrella) agreements and escalation level in negotiations;
Defines the Supplier Strategy, based on business needs;
Contributes to in-/outsourcing decisions/plans and leads the monitoring of main outsourced technologies in order to improve efficiency and reduce the total cost of ownership (TCO);
Relationship Management:
builds and maintains (long term) strong relationships with strategic and key suppliers;
be the (inter)face between both Digital Factory and supplier and lead Business Review Meetings;
leverage mutual synergy opportunities, focus on key elements of TCO and develop the supplier to a level of functional professionalism.
your background
You have a Bachelor and/or Master Degree in Economics or Industrial Management (NL: Bedrijfskunde). Your home base is in Europe and you are willing to travel to our HQ in Diemen, The Netherlands frequently.
Working experience of at least 7 years in a similar role (IT Procurement and/or Contract Management) in an international environment. Experience in defining and implementing sourcing strategies and managing and leading tender processes. Good understanding of the relationship between IT Infrastructure, applications and business processes. Experienced in managing (global) supplier relationships.
You are a keen observer with a proactive attitude, precise and accurate.
Strong working knowledge of IT contracts, business law, procurement practices and business finance. Excellent organization, communication and prioritization skills required.
Very good English language proficiency (both spoken & written).
Good working knowledge of ICT products, systems and applications, such as Cloud, Telecom/Collaboration, Software, Outsourcing practices, ICT Offshoring, etc.
