About the teamThe Biosecurity Education and Engagement (BEE) team within the Biosecurity Strategy and Reform Division manages a range of projects that aim to support biosecurity education and awareness. This includes the Australian Biosecurity Awards, National Biosecurity Forum, a webinar and podcast series, managing the National Biosecurity Website, as well as biosecurity media and social media communications. The roleWe're seeking an experienced digital media and communications officer to lead and support a range of education, awareness and communication projects for a large Federal Government Department located in the city.We are looking for candidates with strong digital media and communication skills, experience delivering high-quality written material, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.The role will have a focus on delivering proactive social media communications, including the development of targeted social media campaigns. It will also involve supporting the department’s monthly webinar series and podcast.The key duties of the job include:Project management and communication support for the Webinar series and podcast seriesProactive digital media support, including researching and developing content and campaigns for social media and other communication channelsDigital media support and advice for the Departments divisionsDeveloping education messaging targeted toward key cohorts across the importing community and industrySupporting targeted education and awareness campaigns Suitable candidates will have:Experience in researching, developing and publishing digital media contentExcellent oral and written communication skills and experience producing high quality written contentAbility to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersSound organisation and time management skills to achieve timely results across multiple prioritiesExperience in designing visual content for digital media, such as infographics (desired)Candidates must be Australian citizens in order to apply for this role, and previous Government experience is preferred.At Randstad, we are passionate about providing equal employment opportunities and embracing diversity to the benefit of all.
