    This is a contract position for a Software Developer for our client who is in the Broader Public Sector. Work location will be in Downtown Toronto and will involve a Hybrid Model with some days in the office every week.

    The Contract runs for 8 months with some possibility of renewal when it runs out.

    Hours per day will be 7.25

    Responsibilities
    * Perform coding, testing, and implementation of Windows and web forms, queries, tables, reports, and system modules in accordance with system design specifications, system requirements, and project  standards. Development will be primarily performed using C#, PL/SQL and T-SQL.

    * Write or change, maintain, and unit & system test, and support data extracts, and reports using SQL and Reporting Services. All work must follow existing standards.

    * Conduct query performance tuning. All work must follow existing standards and best practices.

    * Responsible for production support in the development & production environments

    * All work is required to be completed following the OPGT’s system development lifecycle (SDLC)

    * Document all modifications and enhancements made following existing standards; Project work is to be completed within the timeframes set out in the project plans; and Perform other functions related to the project as required under the direction of the OPGT managers.

    * Ensure alignment and adherence to Ministry of Government Services’ processes and standards

    * Support the testing team during system and UAT testing

    * Must Participate in Knowledge transfer

    Qualifications
    5+ years’ knowledge of, experience with, and proven skills (within the last 5 years) Programming Languages: Visual Basic .NET, C#, VB script, ANSI-SQL, PL-SQL,
    5+ years’ knowledge of, experience with, and proven skills (within the last 5 years) developing and supporting ETL’s
    5+ years’ experience (within the last 5 years) creating report using SQL Reporting Services
    5+ years’ knowledge of, experience with, and proven skills (within the last 5 years) developing and supporting applications using Windows Forms, C#, and PL/SQL using Visual Studio 2010, 2012 & 2015
