    Randstad are looking for a Hydraulic Fitter for field service and workshop based projects based in Newcastle. The successful candidate will be an experienced tradesperson who desires to use their knowledge and skills to solve equipment repairs and deliver timely solutions across a broad range of sectors. THE OPPORTUNITY Our client is a leading global designer and manufacturer of quality power transmission and motion control products, offering a diverse product portfolio and over 10,000 employees within 50 manufacturing facilities worldwide. Their products are sold in over 70 countries and utilised in various major industrial markets, including Mining, Oil & Gas, Marine, Defence, Food Processing, Steel, Material Handling, Packaging and many more.The service division is rapidly expanding due to unprecedented growth across Australian industry. As a result, we are looking for a Hydraulic Fitter to be based at the Newcastle workshop. This role will focus on commissioning new equipment and projects, workshop-based service and repairs, field and onsite service. Examples of the Workshop and Onsite services include; Workshop Services Overhaul and Refurbishment using genuine parts and design specifications to as new condition, returned with a warranty as per manufacturer's specifications Braking and Hydraulic Testing Data Logging of Information and Test results Onsite Services Installation and Commissioning of New Equipment and SystemsPlanned and Preventative Maintenance Upgrades and Retrofits Correct Adjustments to OEM Specifications 24/7 Technical Support Supply and Installation of Genuine Parts Site Parts & Stock Management Prerequisites:Mechanical Trade CertificateHydraulic Tickets and Competencies and / or proven Hydraulic knowledgeMinimum 3-years experience in a similar role or as part of Service/Repair team A Can-do attitude and a team player mentalityStrong attention to detailAdept with time management, prioritisation of work and able to work autonomouslyAble to pass drug and alcohol screening + medical checkReliable transportExcellent work references that can support your applicationFavourable but not essential skills and competencies include; PWCS and Cadia mine site inductionsMicrosoft Office skills Customer service skills Forklift license First aid ticket Electrical disconnect/reconnect license What we can offer you:An excellent opportunity to join a well-established company that values and delivers quality solutions and offers stability.
