Due to an increase in project workload there is an opportunity for an ambitious Safety Coordinator based in Western Sydney.
ABOUT THE POSITION
The primary function of this role is to support the project team on site and be a prominent source of guidance for contractors, the client and colleagues. You will get the opportunity to manage safety on your own project and get exposure to a robust safety management system. KEY EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:Risk identification & assessment, ensuring regulations are metCarry out health and safety audits and work- place inspectionsSteer the development and implementation of HSEQ standards that align with compliance and due diligence requirementsWork closely with senior management to adhere to legislative requirementsPromote best practice and a positive safety culture Implement system changes and improvements to demonstrate continuous improvementExperience dealing with Safework Australia
QUALIFICATION / SALARY:Diploma in OHS or related fieldExperience in residential or commercial construction projects as a Safety officer, safety coordinator or safety advisorImpeccable verbal and written communication skillsCitizenship or permanent resident visa is a must
