Randstad is searching for the construction project of its client, Merck, in Corsier-sur-Vevey, a HVAC Engineer.

Your role:

Within the scope of a challenging, ambitious and future-oriented big project, driven by a dynamic and multi-disciplinary team in an inspiring environment, we look for HVAC Engineer Lead with strong pharma experience, and solid knowledge of HVAC and utilities generation / distribution.

The HVAC Engineer will lead the design of the project from the Design stage to the hand-over of all the activities related to HVAC according to the cGMPs rules and Merck guidelines, standards and procedures.

The position holder will contribute to the consolidation of the basic design together with all other technical disciplines of the project, in direct collaboration of our external design partner (International Engineering company) and will support the tendering phase prior execution of physical works.

The position holder will ultimately follow construction and validation activities making sure the design requirements and internal expectations are fulfilled.

    Who you are:

    • Bachelor Degree in Engineering, HVAC engineering, food technology or related field,
    • 8+ years of working experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
    • At least 5 years experience in project HVAC engineering/design
    • Strong experience in commissioning and validation activities (FAT, SAT, Design review, IQ, OQ and PQ)
    • Experience in construction / project safety
    • Ability to interact with all levels of the organization and lead multi-disciplinary teams with strong leadership skills, as well as hand-on and team player
    • Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments
    • Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
    • Experience working in on multiple projects simultaneously
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Strong leadership, communication and influencing skills
    • Good French and English communication skills both in speech and writing
