    INDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN TEACHER/TRAINOR (SECONDARY SCHOOL)

    • SOUTH TOOWOOMBA, QLD

    • Salary range: $75,470 - $108,695 per annum plus super and benefits

    The INTAD classroom:

    The Industrial Technology and Design (INTAD) facility is architecturally designed and built for the manufacturing of projects. This modern, open plan practical environment is where students are exposed to a variety of traditional and modern materials, tools and equipment. The substantially outfitted workshops enable the production of purpose designed, independently modified, functional products in conjunction with developing an awareness of relevant industry safety obligations. The contemporary technology teaching philosophy encourages students to find solutions for tomorrow, helping to ensure healthy environments for current and future generations.

    About the Role:

    Year 7-12 Technology Teacher and/or Trainer (including 11/12 Furnishing Skills, Building and Construction, Industrial Technology Skills OR certificate courses equivalent. The ideal applicant would be someone that can deliver a Cert II Manufacturing, Cert II Engineering Pathways, Cert I Construction, etc. The school’s aim is to transition this to a more industry-based sector through delivery of certs.

    • MUST BE Australian Citizen OR Resident with valid work rights
    • Demonstrate knowledge of, and experience in, curriculum initiatives
    • Relevant teaching qualifications (VET training or B.Ed or equivalent
    • Permission to Teach will be given to those who do not have QCT
    • Ensure a safe and supportive classroom environment for all students
