Responsibilities:
- Promoting the mental and emotional health of children, young people and families within the hospital and community through clinical interventions and effective decisions.
- Preventing serious mental health problems in children and young people by early identification, good decision-making and signposting to other services where appropriate
- Carry out mental health assessments, including self-harm risk assessments with children, young people and their families
- Offer therapeutic treatment
- Hold a caseload and case manage
- Attend team meetings/case reviews each week
To be considered for the CAMHS Practitioner role ideally you will have:
- 1-3 experience of working within a similar environment
- Experience of working well individually or within a team
- A diploma/degree in social work
- Registration with Social Work England
- Experience of managing a caseload
