Due to surfacing market opportunities, my client is currently hiring for a Supply & Demand Planner for their retail/wholesale business.

about the job

You will be pivotal in the flow of finished goods to fulfil demand/forecast plans in accordance to company inventory policies to ensure all retail/wholesale channels meet sufficient and safety stock levels. Your other responsibilities include:

  • Ensure inventory balance by taking product life cycle into account e.g. promotions, obsoletes, NPIs
  • Allocation of products in accordance to short, medium and long term plans
  • Constantly review the availability of products within market and execute inventory rebalancing to achieve cost and service level objectives
  • Build realistic forecast plans based on historical data analysis to achieve yearly budget plans
  • Work directly with product leaders and distributors to build consensual demand/forecast plans
  • Continuously identify areas of improvement e.g. inventory turn, order completion, fill rate to improve supply chain performance
  • Be an integral member in the department’s bid to drive supply chain excellence via projects that positively impact bottom line

skills and experience required

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 2 years experience in supply/demand planning within a fast paced industry
  • Great timeline management
  • SAP experience is highly advantageous
