    Randstad are looking for experienced care assistants to travel around the Edinburgh area supporting a vulnerable adult to retain their independence in a supported living environment. Pay rates from £16 per hour. The role is a 1-2-1 and 2-2-1 position where you would develop a strong connection with the client. He is a young adult with Autism, very energetic and lively and requires someone who is able to provide emotional support. The service does not come without its challenges but also comes with unmatched fulfilment. Autism experience is beneficial however not mandatory as full training is provided. This is a full time role with guaranteed 35-40 hours per week with a varied shift patter.

    A successful community care assistant will be responsible for:

    - Supporting service users with diverse backgrounds and support requirements

    - Displaying the emotional resilience to support service users with challenging behaviour and loneliness

    - Administering medication, changing dressings and basic meal preparation

    To be successful in your community care assistant application, you will:

    - Have previous experience working in a care setting with adults

    - Have flexibility in the roles undertaken

    - Register under the PVG scheme

    - Full driving licence (Essential)

    - Obtained SVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care, or equivalent (desirable)
