Hours : Monday to Friday - Term-Time only (39 weeks per year)
Permanent - 37 hours per week
Salary : £18,000 TO £22,00 per annum

We are working with and support a fantastic school in Lingfield, Surrey who are looking to expand their Learning support team.
As a Learning Support Assistant you will work as part of a transdisciplinary team of Therapists, Nurses and Support Workers who are passionate about working together to provide the best possible outcomes for the students.Teaching assistants support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, both in and out of the classroom. In secondary schools, teaching assistants are often known as learning support assistants
Day-to-day, your role will include…
... - Putting our students at the heart of everything we do.
- Helping to create a safe learning environment where all students are encouraged, and enabled, to achieve their full potential.
- Enabling students to access learning, using needs-specific, personalised approaches, both with 1:1 and group learning activities.
- Assisting Tutors in the delivery of their lessons.
- Contributing to tracking students' achievements against their learning objectives.
- Planning and coordinating outings and day trips for our students.
- Completing administration work that will support the smooth running of the School.

- Are passionate about supporting children and young people (5-19yo).
- Strive to achieve the best possible outcomes for the people you are supporting.
- Are creative with new ideas to stimulate students.

- Can demonstrate good initiative when dealing with challenging situations.
- Are engaging communicators, both verbally and in writing.
- Have experience of working in a classroom environment, and effectively recording and tracking student's learning progress.
- Ideally have knowledge of specialist areas such Autism, Epilepsy and ADHD
