Job Title - Assistant Quantity Surveyor - London

I have a new opportunity for a driven, committed, and enthusiastic construction professional to join my clients team.

My client is one of the biggest house builders in London and the South East with a target of building 100,000 homes over the next ten years. This includes some of the largest and most exciting new build and regeneration opportunities in the country.

They manager over 110,000 homes across the capital and South East, regenerating communities throughout the region and we are set to become London's largest developer of new homes. For ten years running we have been included in the Great Place to Work index

Assistant Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities



* preparing and submitting monthly applications for payment/valuations and preparing monthly out-turn value forecasts to the client's representative.
* Administering the execution of collateral warranties when required.
* Assisting with the preparation of tenders and checking contractual documentation.
* Developing and maintaining good working relationships with the clients representatives.
* Advising Production Management of any matters associated with monthly costs, projected final cost/values etc. which may have an adverse impact on the financial position/outcome of the project.
* Producing all monthly cost and value statements, reconciliations, and forecasts.
* Advising the Production team with regards to contractual/financial information relating to each project and, in conjunction with the site team, ensuring that the site is profitable.
* Preparing, submitting and agreeing the final account for individual contract/contracts.
* Ensuring that the payments to the sub-contractors are made in a timely manner and agreeing sub-contractor final accounts.
* Procuring and administering sub-contractors throughout the projects from the start to the end and maintaining good working relationships.
* Ensuring all necessary financial systems and procedures are in place at commencement of each contract and that they are maintained and operated effectively to protect the companies quantity surveying/financial/commercial interests, with particular regard to records of work carried out and resources used.

Key Responsibilities:



* BSc qualified in Quantity Surveying.
* Extremely organised.
* Excellent verbal and written skills.
* A confident communicator.
* The ability to work well in a collaborative team environment.
* The ability to multi-task and prioritise workload in order to achieve deadlines.
