Are you a Business or Economics Teacher with strong subject knowledge and the ability to teach across the key stages, up to an including key stage 5? Are you looking for a new challenge in a school that has seen rapid improvement in the last 5 years? If so then this post is for you!

Responsibilities:

*Teach Business Studies or Economics full time, at Key Stage 3, 4 and 5. Previous experience of key stage 5 is desirable.

*To improve student achievement, close the gap between less able and more able pupils, and stretch and challenge the highest achievers in your cohort.

*Mark students' work regularly and accurately and give clear guidance on what is needed to progress.

*Give pupils the opportunity to develop research and study skills, to make the achievement of higher grades a more empowering process.

Requirements:

*The ability to teach consistently good or outstanding lessons, with thorough subject knowledge in either Business Studies or Economics.

*Have strong behaviour and classroom management techniques, in order to keep pupils engaged and on task.

*Be able to keep a calm head under pressure and maintain a sense of humour.
