job description

We are currently recruiting a Care Assistant to work within a beautiful, purpose-built nursing home with a homely feel.

With 44 beds, the home boasts a unit on the ground floor and an upper floor with a lift facility, having been specifically designed to provide the highest standards of care to the elderly. The home has a 'Family-run feel' as the managers have been there for a number of years.

As a Care Assistant, your role would be to provide support and care to the elderly, helping the residents to reach their own goals and engage in activities that interest them. If you are passionate about making a positive difference to the lives of others, I think you will find this role extremely rewarding.

Your responsibilities will also include:

* Supporting the service users with evening/morning routines and ensuring privacy and dignity are respected at all times. This will include supporting service users with intimate levels of personal care.

* Acting as a key worker to a number of residents, providing friendship and supporting their needs

* Taking part in social activities both within the home and outside

* Working as part of a team

* Being able to work flexibly, not only with regards to rota patterns but also the ways in which you support the service users

* Assisting residents with moving and handling

Through working with Randstad you will receive a number of market leading benefits. Firstly, our pay rates are second to none - we believe that carers should be paid fairly for the fantastic work that they do.

We also offer the most competitive referral scheme across the sector with £300 of shopping vouchers per successful applicant you send our way. Furthermore, you can also take advantage of Randstad's own discount app which will allow you to tap into discounts across a number of high street stores.

We require that applicants have at least 6 months' experience within the care sector. The service prides itself on delivering consistently high levels of personalised support, achieved through a genuinely passionate and engaged team.

If you have a passion for working with the elderly and you want to make a difference then please apply now- we would love to hear from you!

Randstad Care acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client. Randstad Care is an equal opportunities employer and decisions are made on merits alone.

Did you know that Randstad Care have been awarded a place on the National Clinical Staffing Framework for the NHS? This means we will be able to bring you more opportunities within nursing & midwifery and clinical staffing.
