Are you passionate about ensuring that children get suitable care within community and inpatient settings? An experienced Children's Nurse is needed to work as a Nurse Assessor in a CHC team based in Newcastle upon Tyne

The vacancy is required for at least the next 6 months, with likelihood of extension. The Nurse Assessor can expect excellent pay rates of up to £25 per hour and flexible working hours.

The team will consider part time and full time hours for this role, although full time (37.5hrs) is preferred

The Nurse Assessor can expect benefits including:

The Nurse Assessor will be:

- conducting assessments on children with complex needs to determine whether they are eligible for Continuing Care funding from the NHS, i.e. for respite care

- supporting the lead nurse to develop specialist services for children, including palliative care services

- working with local authority teams and local acute NHS trusts

- involving families and/or guardians in the assessment process and ensuring they are aware of the guidelines and processes

- NMC registered

- Nursing qualification

- Continuing Healthcare experience is essential for this role and experience working with Children/Families is essential
