Pay rate:

£12.82 - £14.87 depending on experience

Working Hours:

Shifts are flexible, average working week will be 37.5 hours but start and finish time are negotiable.

Responsibilities:



* Work in both an office and a model machine shop environment programming and machining prototype parts for the product development teams
* Your main responsibility will be to machine parts on a CNC Milling machine and CNC Lathe
* Additionally you will support prototyping of parts using manual machinery
* Support the creation of prototypes for new product solutions
* Accurately track incoming machining jobs and assign time and costs.
* Willing to develop and take on responsibility
* Support the development and performance of the model shop service

About you:



* 3+ years of experience prototyping on CNC Milling Machines and Turning centres.
* 5+ years of manual machining (Milling, Turning, Surface Grinding…)
* Experience of CAM software and CNC programming (Edgecam, WinMax or similar)
* You should have a good understanding of cutting tools, feeds and speeds for varying materials.
* Preferable experience of CAD software (ProEngineer/Creo or similar)
* Be an accomplished manual machinist who is able to understand Technical drawings.
* Strong problem solving skills
* Self-motivated and dedicated, with the ability to achieve collective and individual targets
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
