Our client is a family owned, International Engineering Contractor who have been established in the UK for 30 years and will be hosting an event to celebrate this in 2018

The company strategy is now to expand the UK team by appointing a Commercial Manager who will take ownership of the Commercial Division of the London office. Initially you will managing their Rail Client in a commercial way that allows for maximum return; looking after the Client' best interest as well as representing our client in the best possible way.

The Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveying and Contracts Manager will include: -

* Compliance to the NEC3 forms of contract.
* Being familiar with Crossrail or LUL systems and methods will be an advantage
* Maintain proper site records to ensure the commercial delivery of the project
* Ensures that a strong and capable team of professional and qualified personnel is in place.
* Review Scope of Work for every prospected project as per Documents and Drawings given by the Client.
* Originate Request for Quotation for Materials or Equipment required for the project as per the given Specification by the Client. Originate Technical Clarification with regards to the project prior to Material Take-Off preparation and Construction Cost Preparation.
* Coordinates closely with top management to minimize undue exposure to any risk in the management of contracts and in dealing with the client and subcontractors.
* Handles the administration and management of all contracts with clients for the company.
* Oversees the administration and management of all subcontracts with subcontractors, and ensures that all subcontracts are on a back to back with the contract with the clients, where possible.
* Ensures that the company is protected in all contractual arrangements with clients and subcontractors in line with good business practice.
* Ensure that the company is working within its contractual obligations and is maximizing recovery of all costs against contracts.
* Monitors and manage the sub-contractors' performance against their contract with the company.
* Participates in risk assessment & management of contracts at the front end and right through the whole project lifecycle.
* Ensures that the management and project teams are all aware of the essential provisions of the company's contracts.


Ensure timely and accurate reporting and compliance in line with Group standards and follow up on all associated matters in close collaboration with Management team.
