Data Centre Maintenance Manager - London - Client Direct - £65000

One of the leading data centre companies in Europe are currently looking to recruit a Data Centre Maintenance Manager to work across their data centres based in London.

The maintenance manager will ultimately be responsible for defining the maintenance policy across the company and will also ensure that the best practice and industry standards are used.

They will also be responsible for reviewing and standardising group engineering maintenance procedures, engineering method statements, risk assessments and asset records

The role will be based in London and the main duties of the role are as follows:



* Assist the Senior Engineer in defining and implementing the group maintenance policy and standards and to define best practice planned maintenance standards.
* Manage the Ultimo CAFM system, making sure that the software is kept up to date.
* Make sure that all relevant maintenance contracts are in place and are cost effective across all the data centres.
* Be responsible in ensuring that all company asset information is held on the group CAFM system.
* Keep up-to-date with data centre developments in terms of new technology.
* Carry out regular tours of the all countries facilities to inspect local conformance to group maintenance policies.
* Carry out ad-hoc inspection of working parties to make sure that company policies are being followed. They will be available to attend any internal or external quality related audits and be able to demonstrate and provide evidence that company engineering and maintenance standards are being adhered to.
* Schedule regular face to face meetings with all countries to discuss maintenance performance and address any maintenance related issues and concerns and other maintenance related relevant topics.

Applicants for the role must be able to meet the following criteria:



* Educated to higher national certificate in a technical field
* Minimum 5+ years' experience as a senior technician
* Minimum 5+ years' experience as a Facilities Manager within the same industry
* BIFM or similar training and accreditation
* Previous experience working with maintenance management systems ranging from Excel based to corporate bespoke systems
* Working Knowledge of PDCA\Deming highly desirable
* Awareness of RCA management frameworks
* H&S IOSH and NEBOSH
* Previous experience working in mission critical mechanical & electrical environment within a large company
* Experience managing a technical facilities management function
* Experience in Continuous Process Improvement and defining and managing associated metrics and KPIs
* Experience in data centres or a similar environment is considered a significant advantage though not essential this will be a key consideration should multiple candidates be assessed for suitability
* Previous management of large scale multi-site maintenance programs
