Electrical Design Engineer - Water Treatment

Electrical Design Engineer required to work for a principle contractor on a major water treatment network. This is an opportunity for a contract with longevity within a project worth around £200 million.

Location: Brighton

Contract: Minimum 1 year

Rate: £350-£400 per day

Start: ASAP

As an Electrical Design Engineer, your duties will include:

* Design calculations
* Developing engineering specifications and schedules
* Carrying out quality assessments
* Coordinate and liaise with site supervisors
* Maintain an interest in costing and tendering works
* Review existing designs of all electrical systems
* Development of conceptual electrical design
* The production of engineering design and detail in accordance with the Supplier's quality management system.
* Assisting with the appointment of sub-contractors.


* Experience in water industry and preferably previous experience in the design of water / wastewater treatment plants and water / wastewater networks.

* Knowledge / experience of AutoCAD Plant3D

* Knowledge and skills in the in the planning, specification, design procurement and commissioning of projects.

* Strong communication skills all levels with the client, suppliers, contractors and design team
