Shift Technician, Electrical Biased - Financial Building - Canary Wharf - £42k+

Exciting opportunity to join a Property Management agent who specialise in Building Maintenance. They are currently looking for 1 key members of staff to complete the team. The successful candidates will have a proven track record in Commercial Building Maintenance with City & Guilds Electrical, 17th Edition, HV Authorised (Highly Desirable) or Mechanical qualifications. The site itself is the Headquarters for a financial institution and is an Iconic High rise building in Canary Wharf that can be seen from Miles around. Working with the shift team, he or she will carry out Electrical planned & reactive maintenance on Emergency Lighting, BMS, Lighting, UPS, HV and basic mechanical plant. You will require good communication skills as you will be in regular contact with both the client and the staff who work within this large office complex.



* Ensure that Planned Preventative Maintenance & Reactive maintenance is carried out to all client assets through operation of Planned Preventative Maintenance System.
* Ensure that accurate and comprehensive records are kept pertaining to Health & Safety, Building Compliance and Quality Assurance.
* Ensure that sub-contractors perform to meet the requirement of the contract. Administer sub contractor work approvals and safe operation while repair or service is carried out on site.
* Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
* Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out maintenance of the above plant.
* Ensure that comprehensive maintenance records are completed in the form of job sheets.
* Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared, reviewed and utilised for all tasks (PPM's and reactive) carried out to ensure safe working practices.
* Manage the shift team
* To maintain & develop good client relationships.
* Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate, including the utilisation of the shift engineers to ensure the task is suitably completed.

Continental Shift Pattern (Days & Nights 7 to 7)

Qualifications



* City & Guilds 236 Part 1 & 2.
* 17th Edition.
* HV - Highly desirable yet not essential
* A proven track record in Building Maintenance working within a Critical site / blue chip site
* Good Communication Skills.
* Multi-Skilled - Mechanical / Electrical.
* Knowledge of UPS / Generators / Power Distribution / HVAC
* Good Leadership & Management skills.
