Are you passionate about construction and delivering quality projects to time and budget? We have a new Finishing Manager role on, is it they new job you've been looking for?

* Location: Haywards Heath, West Sussex.
* Contract type: Freelance.
* Start date: August 2018.
* Duration: 5 months.
* Pay rate: up to £230 per day (dependant upon experience).

The company:

A tier 1 contractor that work across most areas of construction including aviation, education, commercial, residential and civil engineering.

The project:

A new £3m+ design and build healthcare unit to create treatment rooms, consultation suites, office space and sensory rooms with programme of 14 months.

The role:

As the Finishing Manager on site you will be working under a Senior Site Manager you will be tasked with managing and coordinating internal works packages which will and your role will include but not be limited to:

* Attend subcontractor progress meetings throughout the project.
* Coordinate subcontractors daily activities.
* Carry out site inspections, create defects/snag lists using their tablet system, ensure contractors have received non-conformance notices and set deadlines for corrective works to be completed.
* Order through the supply chain any non-supply & fit plant and materials.
* As and when required perform the site induction process and monitor that safe systems of work are being adhered to.
* Client liaison.
* Provide progress updates throughout the day to the Senior Manager on site.

About you:


* CSCS Management Card (Gold or above)
* First Aid


* Recent relevant experience in a similar role.
* Proven track record of working as part of a team for a tier 1 contractor.
* Trade background would be an advantage.

Skill set:

* Good level of IT literacy with Microsoft Office suite and Apple iPad.
* Excellent interpersonal skills written and verbal.
* Ability to lead and encourage others to maintain standards.
