The purpose of this role is to assist with the day to day management

of staff and resources in providing a first class GM service on

The above contracts.

Key Deliverables:



* To ensure delivery of grounds maintenance services is delivered safely and effectively in accordance with Health and Safety best practice.
* Exceed customer expectations in the delivery of our grounds maintenance service to both the Housing and schools contracts.
* Assist in conducting all customer satisfaction performance tests relating to grounds maintenance in accordance with the contract.
* Ensure that equality is a key consideration and that the concepts of quality and equality are fully integrated into practices and procedures relating to service delivery.
* Maximize opportunities for customer involvement in the development of our grounds maintenance service.
* Collaborate and co-operate with our Service Partners to deliver a customer focused, cost effective and efficient Grounds Maintenance Service and work closely with our housing and schools teams to ensure minimal disruption to all service users and maximize client satisfaction.

Key Tasks:



* Provide training to all staff including toolbox talks.
* Manage the operation of the Grounds Maintenance Depot on a daily basis ensuring that the premises are maintained according to good Health and Safety best practices.
* Provide horticultural and grounds advice/knowledge to the contract.
* Supervise a team of grounds staff to achieve optimum efficiency.
* Horticultural grounds maintenance tasks at all contracted sites, including clearing of miscellaneous items, leaves, litter etc.
* Chemical and hand weed control.
* Driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery and equipment.
* Ensure that all sites visited are left in a clean and tidy state
* Maintaining of records relating to tasks performed timesheets, materials, vehicles and equipment.
* Reporting any damage or vandalism to the premises or property.
* Maintenance of vehicles and machinery and reporting any defects.
