Randstad CPE is working on a new and exclusive opportunity for a Land Buyer to join a public sector organisation in the North Yorkshire area.

The public body is seeking to commission the services of an interim specialist to advise them on all land acquisition matters. Given the potentially long term nature of the relationship, the intention is to appoint someone to assist the body to review the market of available land on an ongoing basis and to undertake all necessary work to purchase individual sites.

The Role

* breakdown from inception (identification) to completion (acquisition) based on a daily work programme
* adherence to Good Practice
* Preparation of market research reports to identify sales values and other relevant issues
* Research and investigation regarding site ownership and planning issues
* Identification and appraisal of development opportunities
* Site Sourcing (saturation studies, local development plan reviews, monitoring applications)
* Assisting the preparation of financial viability's (both in excel then assist with House-building)
* Monitor planning applications and attend planning committee meetings where relevant
* Support land team in preparing Bid Documents, presentation and supporting information relating to any offer.
* Initial market research and instruction of detailed market reports

About You

* Degree qualified and ideally property related
* knowledge of North Yorkshire area
* Experienced Land manager or land buyer
* Currently working for either a national residential developer or high profile investor or agency.
* Detailed understanding of the planning application and appeals process
