£22,000 + travel expenses and out of hours allowance

I'm working with an SME business which provides dedicated support to the company owners, who are expanding their IT support team in Stevenage. This is a great opportunity for a responsive IT systems assistant to work closely with business owners and provide support to personal and head office infrastructures.


You will be responsible for:

* Supporting business owners with their IT equipment such as managing Anti-Spam and email white and black lists
* Installing MS updates and maintaining IT systems such as carrying out weekly server health checks and backups checks
* Providing user support such as setting up new staff and assist with user issues
* Support IT manager with project work such as systems and network expansions
* Provide cover during absences
* Be available 1 in 3 weekends to provide out of hours support to Business Owners and VIP's during travel


Experience providing support in a Windows environment, such as;

* Supporting email white and black lists, NK2 Files and Outlook settings
* Managing local systems backups, carrying out daily and weekly backups checks
* Maintaining hardware such as printers, Firewalls, switches, ISP connections and PC drivers
* Maintaining and supporting servers
* Access to a vehicle
* Excellent interpersonal skills such as being able to communicate face to face and over the phone
