Are you an experienced administrator looking for part time hours - 18hours per week Monday to Wednesday? Do you have excellent computer skills with the ability to pick up new systems easily, and have you got a great eye for detail? Can you work 18 hours a week from Monday to Wednesday and cover this temporary assignment for a minimum period of 12 months? As a land charges administrator, your key responsibilities are to support the department with the day to day administration relating to land charges and searches. This will include, but is not limited to;
*Carrying out cross-checking and cleansing of databases and registers
*Providing available information for Personal Search Companies as requested
*Update the databases to ensure all information is accurate and in line with required legislation
*Booking in of postal and electronic searches onto a database daily
*Taking payments over the phone and banking of cheques onto the Council's electronic payment system
*Support the manager with other duties as required
*Working to deadlines and on occasions under pressure and be adept in multitasking
*Take calls and support with queries

Skills and experience required;
*Must have a minimum of 3 years office based experience within a similar job
*Excellent telephone manner with the ability to communicate at all levels, both with internal and external contacts
*Ability to give an outstanding level of customer service both verbally and written
*Intermediate to advance use of MS office
*Excellent level of accuracy as you will be taking customer and client payments
*Ability to manage and prioritise workloads accordingly
*Experience of working in a busy customer service focused team environment

This position is responsible for delivering an accurate, high standard of information to Solicitors, to enable the public to buy properties in the Winchester District. The department is also responsible for recording all burials and memorials that take place in the two Council run cemeteries and provide relevant documentation accordingly. The level of accuracy required for this position cannot be stressed enough. This is a temporary assignment covering maternity leave for a period of 12 months and will be starting on the 15th July. You will be required to work Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9.30am to 3.30pm with some slight flexibility on both parts.
