We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Student Support Assistant to provide young people with physical disabilities and associated learning difficulties, access to an interactive curriculum. The school is set on beautiful, country grounds and has a team of supportive, approachable and friendly staff who will offer training and guidance if and when you need it.

Your responsibilities will include:
-Promoting a caring environment and providing a high standard of care
-Taking part in recreational activities such as pottery, sewing and D&T
-Maintaining high standards of safety
-Ensuring effective communication with staff and students
-Implementing students' care plans appropriately
-Working 1:1 and in small groups to promote active listening and development

An ideal candidate may possess the following skills and capabilities:
-Able to work flexible shift patterns
-Excellent communication skills
-Own means of transport is essential
-A passion for and an interest in SEN and physical disabilities
-GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English
-At least two professional references
