Manufacturing Planning Specialist

Newcastle Area

£30,000 - £32,000

The purpose of the Manufacturing Planning Specialist role is to ensure that there is an effective capacity and demand plan in place in PFS Manufacturing that accurately captures both customer requirements and the labour resource within the factory to deliver the order book


* Excellent experience of manual capacity vs. demand planning
* Experience of working within an MRP system
* Experience of working during an MRP system implementation and transferring capacity/demand planning from manual to automated processes would be advantageous
* Significant experience gained within a Manufacturing environment
* Excellent communication skills at all levels, with the ability to work effectively with sales, production planning and production


* Creation of a capacity vs. demand plan to fully understand and administer the customer order book, providing clear information on when sales enquiries and orders can be planned and manufactured
* Seamless liaison with the Sales/Estimation team to understand customer demand and to enable swift and accurate planning of work
* Ongoing work alongside the Production Planning and Production team to ensure capacity levels are appropriately identified in a timely manner to enable accuracy of planning
* Creation of a manual capacity vs. demand plan and timely and accurate migration to the identified MRP to enable seamless processes from order to production
* Process mapping of associated planning processes to enable smooth utilisation of MRP system
