M&E Estimator/ M&E QS - FREELANCE / PERM

I am currently working with a small M&E contractor in the heart of Central London. With stylish offices, a buzzing atmosphere and successful commercial team - my client is now seeking an M&E Quantity Surveyor/ M&E Estimator.

The candidate will be coming into the business to assist the Commercial Director, as well as estimating they will also be supporting with quantity surveying duties.

They specialise in Commercial & Industrial projects within Central London.

My client is open to looking at either a freelance or permanent basis

Freelance - £300 per day

Permanent - up to £60,000

Key Skills & Experience Necessary

* Detail understanding of tender information
* Attention to details
* Design review and explore potential alternative design solutions/ VE
* Produce own M&E costing as benchmark of subcontractors' tender returns
* Where not provided, develop comprehensive M&E pricing document for cost comparison purpose
* Due diligence/ price comparison of all tender returns to ensure like for like analysis and ensure all scope gaps are filled before put in package recommendation
* M&E Supply chain improvement/ development
* Committed
* Team player as well as self sufficient
* Work to tight deadlines
* Reliable and trustworthy
* Cost Value reconciliations (CVRs)
* Cash Flow forecasting
* Management of subcontractor accounts
* Negotiation of variations, calculations & settlement of final accounts
* Procurement of specialist Mechanical and Electrical Sub-Contractors
