Role: Mechanical Project Manager

Location: Regional - UK

Reporting into: Contracts Director

A well established turn key Electrical and Mechanical building services provider based in Leeds require a Mechanical Project Manager to join the team.

The client:

Since this companies formation in the early 1990's they have established themselves nationwide in the Mechanical and Electrical industry.

From the head office location in Yorkshire they operate throughout the UK with over 100 employees. They have a practical approach to design and endeavour to provide clients with good value and innovative engineering solutions.

Their enthusiastic and experienced engineers enable them to maintain a high standard of work and working relations that further their clients expectations and requirements.

Job brief:

My client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to plan and supervise a wide range of Mechanical projects from start to finish. You will organise and oversee construction procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner.

An excellent Project Manager must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of professionals of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organisational skills.

The goal will be to ensure all projects are delivered on time according to requirements and without exceeding budget.

Responsibilities:



* Collaborating with the Client to determine the specifications of the project.
* Pricing and creation of a schedule of works to deliver the project.
* Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations.
* Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met.
* Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies.
* Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities.
* Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports.
* Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.

Requirements:



* Proven experience as Project manager
* In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles
* Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
* Good knowledge of MS Office
* Familiarity with construction/ project management software
* Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills
* A team player with leadership abilities
* BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field
* PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage
* Experience managing 4 - 5 projects at a time with values ranging from £20k - £200k.

The successful candidate will be required to work away 1-2 nights per week however all expenses will be paid.
