Randstad CPE currently have an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Supervisor with water experience to get involved with a well known main contractor on a permanent basis. This role will be based in the Inverness.

To be successful in an application the candidates will need to demonstrate that they possess the following skills, attributes and experiences:

Key Responsibilities:

* Organise and manage electrical installation works on multiple sites across Scotland
* Ensure Safety, Quality and Environmental Standards are delivered on all sites
* Undertake regular site safety inspections
* Develop and maintain Complete RAMS for all stages of electrical works, including an Initial Electrical Safety Risk Assessment. Review, assess and comment on Sub-contractors RAMS.
* Undertake all duties required of an Authorised Person (AP) and in some cases Senior Authorised Person (SAP).
* Establish the site Competent Persons register and ensure all persons attending site to carry out electrical or electrical related works can prove electrical competence.
* Establish switch room log(s) and Construction Completion check lists
* Set up and manage "Permit to Enter" area system and "Electrical Permit to Work"
* Undertake circuit testing, locks offs and isolations
* Issue Sanction to Test
* Witness Testing and Factory Acceptance Testing of electrical equipment
* Sign off Construction Completion documentation and certify equipment safe for use
* Inspecting and signing off electrical installation prior to energising of the system;- ensuring that routine inspections, testing and maintenance of LV equipment (such as switchgear, protection and batteries) are carried out as required;
* On some sites assume the role of "Site Manager"
* Build and maintain good Client relationships
* Attend regular Site Meetings
* Produce Short and medium term programmes and progress reports
* Maintain daily diary, record drawings, and documentation

Key Requirements:

* Applicable ONC/HNC/HNC or equivalent
* Recognised apprenticeship
* Proven track record of managing/supervising mechanical sub-contractor installation work
* 5 Day SMSTS
* Relevant CSCS card
* Full Driving Licence
* Preferred experience working on Scottish Water sites
